Mýa

Mýa Marie Harrison (born October 10, 1979 in Washington, DC) is an American singer, songwriter, dancer and actress. She released several solo albums and was represented with singles and guest articles in the international charts.

Life

Mýa came on 10 October 1979 in Washington, D. C. The daughter of an African-American father and a half-Italian woman to the world. In three years, she first began taking dance lessons. At the age of 15, she started giving dance lessons. At 16, she was seeing for the first time during a brief appearance on television.
1990

In 1997 she signed with the help of friendly R & B group Dru Hill, Haqq Islam's University records her first recording contract. In collaboration with the band created their self-titled debut album Mýa that occurred after publication in the summer of 1998 in the top 30 of the U.S. album charts with "It's All About Me," "Movin 'On" and "My First Night With You," three in the Charts successful single releases produced. At the same time Mýa sang in Pras' first solo single "Ghetto Supastar (That Is What You Are)" the chorus, which gives it additional popularity in Europe before. That same year she had with Mase, Blackstreet a renewed chart success with the song "Take Me There".
2000s
Mýa (2003)

In the spring of 2000 Mýa released her second album, Fear of Flying. Although the first single "Best of Me" is a popular one in the U.S. barely, reached her with the song "The Best of Me," both with a feature by Jadakiss and Jay-Z has been included a chart success. The second single, "Case Of The Ex" was even more successful and marked Mya biggest U.S. chart success. The continuing success of the album, which sold worldwide for more than five million times, Interscope Records led to a re-release the CD that was released later that year with some new songs, including the third single "Free" a second time.

2001 they asked Missy Elliott alongside Christina Aguilera, Pink and Lil 'Kim to Patti LaBelle classic "Lady Marmalade einzusingen new." The soundtrack of the successful movie Moulin Rouge stormed the world and tops the chart developed over the summer months at the most successful single of the year.
